Have you been braving the discomfort of damaged teeth because you dread spending time at the dental office? Not anymore. Thanks to same-day dentistry, treatments are faster and more convenient than ever. Pearl Dental Care employs CEREC technology to design, prepare, and place dental restorations in just one appointment, minimizing wait times and eliminating the need for ill-fitting, temporary restorations.
Drs. Gary and Scott Pearl in Hamden, Connecticut, deliver high-quality results with CEREC crowns but without the wait.
CEREC stands for “Chairside Economical Restoration of Esthetic Ceramics.” This technology combines computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) and human craftsmanship to fabricate high-quality dental crowns in a single visit.
Traditionally, getting dental crowns involves multiple dental appointments, which could span over several weeks. During the initial appointment, your dentist prepares your tooth, takes manual/ goopy impressions, and sends it to an offsite dental lab to manufacture your crown. Fabricating a traditional crown takes several days. As you wait for your permanent crown, your dentist fits a temporary crown to support your smile. Once your crown is ready, you make another trip to the dentist for the fitting. Returning for the final crown usually requires an injection of anesthetic again.
On the other hand, the CEREC procedure involves the following:
The “same-day” slogan isn’t just a buzzword. The entire process of preparing, fabricating, and installing your crowns happens in one appointment.
We understand life gets busy. Fixing your smile may not top your priority list, especially if the process takes too long. But thanks to same-day dentistry, restoring your smile doesn’t require taking days out of your busy schedule. CEREC technology is the modern definition of convenient, hassle-free dentistry.
The other benefits of CEREC crowns include:
Since CEREC crowns are made in a single day, you may doubt their credibility. While CEREC crowns are fast and convenient, they are carefully designed without sacrificing quality. So, yes, CEREC crowns are as good as traditional crowns, or even better. CEREC technology creates a precise replica of your teeth, resulting in more natural-looking and perfect-fitting restorations.
We’re proud to say Pearl Dental Care offers CEREC single-visit dental crowns, inlays, and onlays to restore smiles without the wait.
