Dr. Gary Pearl graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1978 with a BS in pharmacy and the University of Connecticut School of Dental Medicine in 1984. He continued training and refining his skills in his general practice residency at Park City Hospital in Bridgeport, CT from 1984 to 1985. Dr. Pearl is a graduate of the world renowned Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, FL and in 2005 achieved the highest Academy of General Dentistry honor- Mastership (MAGD).

Prior to earning the prestigious Mastership award, Dr. Pearl earned the Fellowship award (FAGD). Requirements for the Fellowship award include taking hundreds of hours of continuing education courses and passing a comprehensive examination. However, becoming an MAGD requires over a thousand hours of approved continuing education courses and is even more specialized. As an Academy of General Dentistry Master, Dr. Pearl is fully committed to providing the highest level of care.

Dr. Pearl Family

Dr. Pearl is an exceedingly skilled dentist with many clinical interests including cosmetics, dental implants, dentures, and root canal therapy. In addition, Dr. Pearl excels at treating gum disease and dental implants to replace lost or missing teeth. Dr. Pearl is a member of the American Dental Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, Connecticut State Dental Association, and the Academy of General Dentistry.

Dr. Pearl has been married for 40 years and has two children and four grandchildren. His daughter works in non-profit education in NYC and his son is Dr. Scott at Pearl Dental Care. While Dr. Pearl may think about cutting back soon, he doesn’t plan to retire from dentistry for many years because he loves his profession so much. In his free time he enjoys golf, skiing, and babysitting his grandchildren.
