Dr. Adam Abel is a dental specialist providing outstanding oral and maxillofacial surgical care at Pearl Dental Care. Dr. Abel completed dental school at UConn and then completed his specialty training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital Weill Cornell Medical Center six year residency program. He earned an MD degree at Weill Cornell Medicine and completed extensive training in anesthesiology and general surgery as well.
Dr. Abel provides excellent surgical care in our office for patients requiring wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, and oral pathology management. For wisdom teeth removal, Dr. Abel offers various form of anesthesia and can treat any form of wisdom teeth including impaction removal and coronectomy treatment for wisdom teeth near nerves. Dr. Abel offers advanced bone grafting procedures for patients who do not have adequate bone for dental implants. Dr. Abel places dental implants at our practice and in tandem with Dr. Scott Pearl, can place multiple implants per arch to offer advanced prosthetic options including implant overdentures and fixed implant dentures. Offering same-day teeth at our practice has been a wonderful service for our patients.
Outside of our office Dr. Abel works in NYC and has a teaching position at Weill Cornell where he also performs advanced jaw surgeries including orthognathic surgery. Dr. Abel enjoys traveling, hiking, saltwater fishing, cooking, and spending time with his wife Elizabeth and daughters Samara and Leora.
