- Dental extractions: Drs. Gary and Scott Pearl and Dr. Adam Abel offer two types of dental extractions for patients, including simple and surgical. Simple extractions are performed on teeth that have erupted through the gum line, while surgical extractions require opening into the gum tissue and removal of some bone to remove the tooth. Simple extractions require less recovery time than surgical extractions, and both are done with proper sedation and anesthetics.
